Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tooks Parr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arthur Bertholf!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Bertholf blocks the low kick.

Parr looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Parr prevents Bertholf from standing back up.
Bertholf blocking the ground and pound attempt from Parr.
It looks like Parr is going to stand back up.

Some wild striking there from Bertholf.
Parr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bertholf avoids it really well and circles away.
Bertholf scores with the left hand. Parr knows he should have avoided that one.
Arthur Bertholf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Parr pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Parr takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bertholf is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We're going to have a standup here because Tooks Parr wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bertholf scores with a jab to the jaw.
Bertholf stalks Parr and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Parr's face. Parr staggers backwards, shaken.

Bertholf breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No joy there for Bertholf, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bertholf cracks Parr with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bertholf misses with a double jab.
No luck for Parr with that takedown attempt.
Bertholf tries to bum rush Parr with a series of wild strikes but Parr uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bertholf connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Parr's hands.

Parr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bertholf keeps working.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tooks Parr just wasn't active enough.
Bertholf jabs Parr to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Bertholf goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bertholf sprawls well. Bertholf wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Parr gets slowly back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice straight punches there by Bertholf. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bertholf.

Arthur Bertholf showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Bertholf feints a jab promting Parr to slip. Bertholf then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Parr slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Bertholf closes the distance and pushes Parr back into the cage.

Parr is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bertholf gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Parr jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bertholf walks away with a smile on his face. Parr gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bertholf goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


Parr is rocked!
Parr walks straight into a right hand from Bertholf - that's dropped him! Bertholf jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Parr from any more punishment! Parr complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Arthur Bertholf!
Arthur Bertholf made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I would like to thank my manager Keith Hawk for pulling me off the street and giving me a shot. I would be nothing without him! Now is the time to go and do some training and maybe someone could actually stand in the ring with me and give me a workout but I Doubt it. '.
