Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frederic Laurent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie O Hare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laurent comes to the cage accompanied by Tropa de Elite. O Hare has chosen Starland Vocal Band - Afternoon Delight as his entrance music. Frederic Laurent has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frederic Laurent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eddie O Hare!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laurent loads up on a big right hand but O Hare slips the punch.
Laurent lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Eddie O Hare has been cut.
O Hare steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Laurent. That one must have hurt.
Laurent scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Laurent keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Laurent loads up on a big right hand but O Hare slips the punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
O Hare tries to score a power double leg takedown but Laurent sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten O Hare somewhat.
O Hare throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Laurent.
O Hare defending well as Laurent loads up on a big left hand.
Laurent fakes the leg kick and cracks O Hare in the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Laurent displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from O Hare.
O Hare stuns Laurent with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
O Hare takes one to the side of the head.
O Hare takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Laurent throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Laurent moves out of range of the strikes.
O Hare takes one to the chin there.

Laurent lands a nice shot to the body.
O Hare looks gassed!
Laurent lands a big right hand that sends O Hare crashing to the mat! Laurent stays standing though and waves O Hare back to his feet!
O Hare is rocked!
That has opened up Eddie O Hare's cut even more.
Laurent cracks the inside of O Hare's front leg.
O Hare is still on wobbly legs! Can Laurent finish him?
O Hare glances at the clock... BAM! Laurent nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends O Hare crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, O Hare is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Frederic Laurent!
During a confident post fight interview, Frederic Laurent thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
