Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pentti Hilkuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakeem Diaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaw blocks a leg kick.
Hilkuri swats away the attempt to clinch by Diaw.
Diaw avoids the head kick by Hilkuri.
Hilkuri thuds a left hand into Diaw's body.
Hilkuri pivots, looking for a leg kick but Diaw is out of range and Hilkuri settles back down.
Hilkuri misses with a hook. Diaw ducked under it nicely.
Hilkuri tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Diaw shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Hilkuri looks to throw the jab but Diaw is out of range.
Nice body punch from Hilkuri.
Diaw lands a right hook to the body.
Diaw tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hilkuri manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Diaw throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Diaw throws a sloppy head kick and Hilkuri moves out of range easily.
Diaw throws a looping overhand right but Hilkuri ducks down to avoid it.
Some bone on bone action there as Hilkuri checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
The fighters circling - Diaw throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hilkuri keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Diaw drops his hands momentarily and Hilkuri takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Diaw ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hilkuri, right into the meat.
Diaw throws a body punch but Hilkuri moves out of range.
Diaw fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hilkuri connects with a jab.
Diaw moves out of range as Hilkuri strikes.
Hilkuri scores with a head kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No luck for Diaw with that takedown attempt.

Hilkuri throws a front kick that sends Diaw stumbling back into the cage.
Diaw is still on wobbly legs! Can Hilkuri finish him?
Diaw finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Hilkuri's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Diaw falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pentti Hilkuri!
Pentti Hilkuri opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
