Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bob Reigan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Macarenco!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Reigan. No joy for Macarenco on that attempt.
Reigan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Macarenco paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Reigan moves to clinch but Macarenco breaks away

and Macarenco counters with a nice double leg into side control. Reigan won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Macarenco is trying to get an arm triangle but Reigan is defending well.
Reigan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Reigan tries to get out of the position.
Macarenco gets to mount! Reigan was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reigan defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Macarenco.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reigan throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reigan tries to hold on but Macarenco pushes him away.
Reigan wants to get back to his feet.
Reigan tries to hold on but Macarenco postures up.

Macarenco looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Reigan tries to lock up and control but Macarenco gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Macarenco wants to finish this one by submission but Reigan is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Macarenco.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reigan trying desperately to get to his feet.
Macarenco blocks Reigan's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Macarenco is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Reigan has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Macarenco working for a submission but Reigan is keeping him at bay.

Reigan has left one of his arms exposed and Macarenco doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Reigan screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ricardo Macarenco!
