The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Panda gets tackled into the cage by Smajlovic. Smajlovic maintains the clinch.

Panda is fighting off a takedown attempt but Smajlovic is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Panda to the mat. Panda regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Smajlovic with a flurry of punches that miss.
Smajlovic wants to control from the top but Panda keeps moving.
Panda is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Smajlovic is controlling him.
Panda looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Smajlovic decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Panda, up you get!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Smajlovic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smajlovic avoids the attempt from Panda to control.
Panda is trying to stand.
Smajlovic postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Panda looks a forlorn figure.

Smajlovic looking to isolate an arm here. Panda doesn't see it coming and as Smajlovic extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Smajlovic!
