Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr Mox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Hakeem Jabbar!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabbar darts in trying to clinch

and Mox counters with a takedown into side control.

Mox thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jabbar tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mox works to advance to full mount. Jabbar defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Mox content just to control the position here.
Jabbar keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Mox is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The referee warns Jabbar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mr Mox wasn't doing enough on the ground.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mox.

Jabbar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mox did well to prevent Jabbar getting side control.
Mox moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Mox has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mox is controlling Jabbar's posture.

Mox working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jabbar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jabbar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jabbar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mox swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jabbar misses with a takedown attempt - Mox sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mox shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mox showed some decent athleticism there.
Ground and pound from Mox.

Jabbar is defending against the submission attempts here by Mox.
Jabbar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mox. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jabbar tries to get to full guard but Mox has control of the leg.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Mox is working for a submission of some sort.

Mox is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jabbar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mox.
Mox passes the guard and advances to mount!

Mox wants to finish this one by submission but Jabbar is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mox.
Mox tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mox working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mr Mox dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Jabbar tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Mox counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Mox showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Mox has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jabbar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mox is stalling in the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mr Mox.
Jabbar connects with a high kick.


It looks like Mr Mox has been cut.
Jabbar tries to clinch there but Mox circles away.

Mox drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mox passes into half guard.
Mox working Jabbar over with strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mox landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Mox controlling the pace.
Mox is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jabbar!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jabbar can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mox controlling the pace for now.

Mox raining down hammerfists from mount.
Jabbar wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Mox has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Jabbar has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Mox has Jabbar flattened out and is raining down punches.
Jabbar takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Mox lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mox is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Mox seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jabbar for as long as he can get away with.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mox working for a choke but Jabbar is defending well.
Hakeem Jabbar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mr Mox is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Mox keeps control of the position easily here as Jabbar tries to buck him off.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mr Mox showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mox, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
