Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Belstead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grey is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rob Zombie - Never Gonna Stop. Dominic Belstead has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dominic Belstead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Trevor Grey!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey throws a left and a right that both miss

and Belstead counters with a nice double leg into side control. Grey won't be happy with that.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Grey is trying to control Belstead's posture but Belstead avoids it.
Grey tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Belstead thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The strikes coming from Belstead are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Belstead swings around for an armbar but Grey sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Belstead's guard.

Belstead is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Grey is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Belstead escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Grey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Grey decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Belstead keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Grey displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Belstead.

and Belstead counters with a shoot takedown. Grey fights it but they end up in guard.

Belstead tries to free his leg and advance position but Grey is retaining full guard.

Belstead is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Grey is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Grey has escaped and now he's on top!

Belstead working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Grey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Belstead has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grey has managed to get both his arms back between Belstead's legs - danger averted.
Grey wants to pass the guard but Belstead is keeping the position.

Belstead has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Grey is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Belstead.

Belstead closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Belstead lands in his opponent's guard.

Belstead is looking for a kimura but Grey is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Belstead to get the leverage.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Belstead, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
