The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Hero.
Hero cracks Jakua with a right hand to the side of the head.
Jakua misses the jab.
Jakua on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hero feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jakua's calf.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Jakua shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jakua is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hero is trying to maintain the position but Jakua is very close to passing his half guard.
Jakua looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hero fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jakua has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hero connects with a leg kick. Jakua looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Hero lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Un Hero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jakua misses with a double jab.
Jakua looks to land a combination but Hero avoids it well.

Hero throws a series of punches but Jakua avoids them all with ease.

A nice inside leg kick there by Hero. That's going to slow Jakua down.

Jakua throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hero was covering up waiting for the punch and Jakua finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jakua decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Jakua takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Kris Jakua has been cut.
Hero throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kris Jakua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hero looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jakua doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Hero lands with a kick to the ribs.

Jakua takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Hero drops Jakua with a beautiful combination! Jakua stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hero is looking for the KO!

Jakua is rocked!
