Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarppi Virne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Snitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Virne comes to the cage accompanied by Jeff van Dyck - Soldier's Chant. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Virne is looking to clinch but Snitch is avoiding it.
Snitch misses with a looping right.

Rob Snitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Snitch tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Virne shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Virne tries to clinch but Snitch moves out of range.

Snitch is trying hard to land a takedown here. Virne sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Virne seems a little lost for a moment, as Snitch dominates the positioning.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Snitch misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Virne dodges the ground and pound from Snitch.
Virne sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Snitch throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Virne is looking to work some ground and pound but Snitch has wrist control.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Snitch is on top in guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Snitch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Snitch defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Virne.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Virne fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Snitch avoids it really well and circles away.
Virne is looking to clinch but Snitch is avoiding it.

Virne has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Snitch finds it's way round the side to connect with Virne's head.

Snitch throws a nice looking combination but Virne bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Virne drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Snitch has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Snitch throws a strike but Virne rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Snitch is trying to keep Virne in close.

Snitch is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Virne rolls with it to try and escape but Snitch cranks on the arm and Virne is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
