Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Narcaleptic Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arlovski comes into the arena with zzzzzzzz blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Narcaleptic Arlovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arlovski tries to clinch there but Jenkins circles away.
Arlovski's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Arlovski duly obliges.


It looks like Paul Jenkins has been cut.
Arlovski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jenkins paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Arlovski misses with a kick to the body.
Jenkins slips a jab and a cross from Arlovski.
Narcaleptic Arlovski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jenkins tries a head kick but it misses.
Arlovski looks to land a combination but Jenkins avoids it well.
Arlovski throws a body kick that misses.

Jenkins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jenkins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Jenkins seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Arlovski is holding on tight.
Jenkins sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jenkins goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Arlovski turns into him and now he's in Jenkins's guard.

Jenkins is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jenkins wants to stand up but Arlovski is controlling him.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Paul Jenkins wasn't active enough on the ground.

Jenkins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Arlovski lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Jenkins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jenkins showed some decent athleticism there.
Arlovski is looking to control Jenkins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Arlovski avoid being mounted?

Jenkins seems to be working for a kimura but Arlovski defends the submission attempt.
Arlovski is pressing down on Jenkins's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Arlovski is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Jenkins drops back looking for a leg! Arlovski is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arlovski manages to kick Jenkins off! Jenkins jumps back into Arlovski's guard.

Jenkins wants to pass the guard but Arlovski is keeping the position.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Arlovski is pulling down on Jenkins's head. It's preventing any offense from Jenkins, at least for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jenkins closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Arlovski to the mat! Arlovski manages to get full guard.

Arlovski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jenkins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jenkins wants to pass to mount but Arlovski is defending the position.
Jenkins wants to take a breather but Arlovski is having none of it.
Arlovski is looking to control Jenkins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Arlovski avoid being mounted?

Jenkins is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Arlovski defends it well.
Arlovski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jenkins trying to mount his opponent but Arlovski defends it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Jenkins drives through with a takedown into Arlovski's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Arlovski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Paul Jenkins has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Arlovski moves in looking to clinch but Jenkins pushes him off.

and Jenkins counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Arlovski!
Paul Jenkins has got the better of the ground game so far.
Arlovski can't escape the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jenkins has control of Arlovski's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Arlovski regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Let's hope that Jenkins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Arlovski keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Arlovski is trying desperately to improve position.
Jenkins tries to control but Arlovski wriggling away.
Jenkins tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Paul Jenkins was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Arlovski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jenkins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Arlovski misses with a series of wild punches.
Arlovski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jenkins tries to avoid it but Arlovski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jenkins to the ground. Jenkins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jenkins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Jenkins wants to pass the guard but Arlovski is defending well.
Arlovski wants to control but Jenkins is keeping busy.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Jenkins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

I would not like to be Arlovski right now.

Arlovski won't enjoy being in this position. Jenkins looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Arlovski is tapping - it's over boys! Jenkins picks up the submission victory!
