Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Bruens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milo Chocolate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruens comes to the cage accompanied by River Below. Paul Bruens has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Bruens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Milo Chocolate!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruens showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chocolate.
Chocolate misses with a wild body shot.
Both fighters circling a little - Bruens finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Bruens misses with a takedown
and Chocolate counters with a nice body shot.
Bruens misses with a body shot.
Chocolate swats away the attempt to clinch by Bruens.
Paul Bruens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bruens takes a swing at Chocolate's ribcage but misses.
Bruens walks into a left hand.
Chocolate misses with a few strikes there.
Chocolate uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bruens.
Chocolate throws an overhand right that lands on Bruens's shoulder, as Bruens tries to avoid the shot.
Bruens slips under a jab from Chocolate.

Chocolate rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bruens moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bruens works Chocolate's body with a nice hook.

Bruens closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bruens lands in his opponent's guard.
Bruens throws a strike but Chocolate rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Chocolate wants to stand but Bruens is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bruens has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bruens is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bruens takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bruens is looking to stall here but Chocolate recovers full guard.
Bruens controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Bruens trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bruens throws a big elbow that misses.
Bruens wants to control from the top but Chocolate keeps moving.

Chocolate pushes Bruens off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Bruens throws a front kick that sends Chocolate stumbling back into the cage.
Bruens getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Bruens motions for Chocolate to come forward. Bruens throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Chocolate thows a left - swing and a miss!

Milo Chocolate is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Chocolate throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bruens.

Bruens forces Chocolate back against the cage and clinches.
Bruens is pushing Chocolate up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Chocolate blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Bruens drags the fight down to the ground.
Bruens is pulling down on Chocolate's head to control his posture.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Bruens looks to score with a jab to the body but Chocolate is just out of range.
Bruens shoots in for a takedown but Chocolate shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bruens changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chocolate tries to avoid it but Bruens manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chocolate to the ground. Chocolate escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bruens takes a jab right on the kisser.
Chocolate stalks Bruens and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bruens's face. Bruens staggers backwards, shaken.
Chocolate tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bruens was well out of range. Poor timing from Chocolate.

Chocolate stuffs the takedown.
Bruens is looking to wear down Chocolate with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Chocolate misses with a looping right.
Bruens staying out of range there.
Bruens pivots, looking for a leg kick but Chocolate is out of range and Bruens settles back down.
Bruens scores with a jab to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chocolate cracks Bruens with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Chocolate misses with a body shot.
Bruens takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bruens throws a leg kick but Chocolate moved away.

Bruens lands a really nice looking cross but Chocolate seems unphased.
Chocolate loads up on a big right hand but Bruens slips the punch.
Danga de danga de dang - Chocolate scores with a four punch combination!
Bruens closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chocolate circles away.
Chocolate stuffs the takedown attempt from Bruens. Bruens gets slowly back to his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bruens. That's going to slow Chocolate down.
Chocolate avoids the body shot from Bruens.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bruens.
Bruens takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bruens throws a hook but Chocolate avoids it easily.
Nice sprawl there from Chocolate as Bruens shoots in.
Chocolate fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bruens manages to avoid it.

No luck for Bruens with that takedown attempt.

Chocolate looks to land a right hand but Bruens moved out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chocolate uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bruens.
Chocolate lands a jab.

Chocolate gets caught napping as Bruens dives in and scores a takedown. Chocolate manages to retain guard.
Bruens wants to control from the top but Chocolate keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bruens's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Chocolate is looking to stand up but Bruens isn't so interested in that idea.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Paul Bruens wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Bruens bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Chocolate prevents Bruens from improving position.
Bruens sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Chocolate is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bruens is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chocolate is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Bruens shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chocolate manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bruens trying to control but Chocolate is working from the bottom.

Bruens postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bruens trying to move into half guard but instead Chocolate has managed to sweep!

Chocolate wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Bruens's closed guard. He's half up but Bruens has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Bruens pivots and extends the arm, Chocolate falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Bruens! Well done that man!
