The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

MacFist closes the distance and pushes Lombard back into the cage.

MacFist breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
MacFist looks to land a body kick but Lombard moved away.

Hector Lombard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lombard sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
MacFist throws a quick inside leg kick.

MacFist turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

MacFist has closed the distance and engaged Lombard in a clinch.
MacFist tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lombard avoids it.
MacFist blocks an uppercut.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
MacFist tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Lombard wants to break free but MacFist has control.
Lombard tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
MacFist tries to land knees in the clinch but Lombard avoids the damage to the body.

Lombard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lombard paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Duncan MacFist has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lombard misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lombard is pawing at MacFist, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into MacFist's nose. MacFist is badly hurt! Lombard pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! MacFist tries desperately to hold on but Lombard is relentless in his assault! As MacFist receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Lombard away and this one is in the books!
