The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piotrowski looks to land a combination. Black sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Piotrowski pushes Black up against the cage in a clinch.
Black tries to pull guard but Piotrowski holds him up against the cage and eventually Black drops back down to his feet.

Black jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Piotrowski walks away with a smile on his face. Black gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Burt Black. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Piotrowski swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Black decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Piotrowski's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Piotrowski can do anything to dispel that myth.
