Chalidov shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Chalidov has control of Palhares's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Palhares regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Palhares tries to lock up and control but Chalidov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Chalidov sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Chalidov wants to control the pace but Palhares is squirming around nicely.
Palhares holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Chalidov tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Chalidov swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Palhares is now in Chalidov's guard. A big mistake from Chalidov there, giving up the dominant position!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Palhares throws an elbow that misses. Chalidov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Palhares's guard. Nice move by Chalidov!
Palhares lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Chalidov!

Palhares has instead reached around Chalidov's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Palhares arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
