Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Davis Davies!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Hominick!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Davies.
Davies throws a hook to the side of Hominick's head but Hominick sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hominick throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Davies counter with a right hand.
Davies lands a jab.
Davies gets a takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hominick is trying to stand back up but Davies is controlling him
Hominick keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Davies is trying to work for a kimura but Hominick is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hominick is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Davies scores with a couple of nice shots.
Davies is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hominick has managed to free his arm - good work.
Hominick is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Davies missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Hominick pushes Davies off looking to stand but Davies dives back in and keeps control.
Hominick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davies. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hominick looks gassed!
Davies throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davies thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hominick's head.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Davies connects with a nice short shot to Hominick's temple.
Hominick is rocked!
Davies is nestled in close to Hominick, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hominick is still in real trouble! Can Davies finish him?
Hominick is not content to let Davies control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davies lands with a punch from half guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Davies lands a big elbow - Hominick is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Davies!
