Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rob Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes into the arena with MC Primo - Diretoria blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva slips a jab and a cross from Cortez.
Cortez throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range.

and Cortez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cortez digs a good hook to Silva's body.
Cortez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.
Sloppy strikes from Cortez. Those never looked like landing.
Silva cracks Cortez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Cortez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Cortez.
Cortez is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Silva rather than just go for the knockout.

A looping hook to the body misses from Cortez. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
