Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Longfellow Deeds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy The Crocodile (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deeds comes to the cage accompanied by Evils Deeds. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Longfellow Deeds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy The Crocodile!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deeds shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and The Crocodile counters with an inside leg kick.
The Crocodile swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Deeds counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Deeds.
Deeds landing some decent shots from guard.
Deeds has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The Crocodile preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Deeds throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Deeds is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and The Crocodile defends it well.
The Crocodile wants to control but Deeds is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Deeds wants to free his trapped foot but The Crocodile is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Deeds looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Deeds looks to land a strike but The Crocodile avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Deeds throws a big elbow that misses.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Deeds content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Deeds trying to control but The Crocodile is working from the bottom.
The Crocodile utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Deeds stays in close to The Crocodile's body and controls the position.
Deeds throws a big right hand that misses.
Deeds trying to control the position from guard on top but The Crocodile is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Deeds looking to sit in guard and control but The Crocodile gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Longfellow Deeds dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The Crocodile shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Jimmy The Crocodile seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Crocodile displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Deeds.
Nice straight punches there by Deeds. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Deeds.
Jimmy The Crocodile is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The Crocodile throws a right hand that Deeds ducks under and follows up with a left that Deeds also avoids with ease.
Deeds cracks The Crocodile with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Deeds shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says The Crocodile as he avoids it easily.
The Crocodile looks to score with a jab to the body but Deeds is just out of range.
Deeds scores with a decent looking hook.
The Crocodile drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

The Crocodile works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The Crocodile rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Deeds counters with a nice double leg into side control. The Crocodile won't be happy with that.

Deeds goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, The Crocodile rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Deeds's guard! Nice work there by The Crocodile!
Longfellow Deeds overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The Crocodile wants to pass the guard but Deeds is keeping the position.

Deeds looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The Crocodile with a flurry of punches that miss.
The Crocodile throws an elbow that misses. Deeds uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in The Crocodile's guard. Nice move by Deeds!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Deeds tries to free his leg and advance position but The Crocodile is retaining full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The Crocodile is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Deeds drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Deeds seems to have locked his on tight now - The Crocodile screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Deeds, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Longfellow Deeds!
During a confident post fight interview, Longfellow Deeds thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
