The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bodoque throws an overhand right that lands on Silva's shoulder, as Silva tries to avoid the shot.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bodoque's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bodoque tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bodoque to the ground. Bodoque escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
