PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Harkonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaahl Infernus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Infernus comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Game kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harkonnen ducks under a wild hook from Infernus.
Harkonnen takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Harkonnen connects with a single shot there.

It looks like Gaahl Infernus has been cut.
Infernus misses with a head kick.

Infernus moves into the clinch.

Harkonnen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Infernus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Harkonnen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Harkonnen drops his hands momentarily and Infernus takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Harkonnen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Infernus knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Vladimir Harkonnen.

Harkonnen throws a series of punches but Infernus moves out of range.

Good work by Infernus as he checks the leg kick.
Harkonnen connects with a single shot there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Harkonnen. Infernus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Infernus is looking to clinch but Harkonnen is avoiding it.
Infernus walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Harkonnen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Infernus takes a swing at Harkonnen's ribcage but misses.
Gaahl Infernus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Infernus throws a right and a left that Harkonnen avoids nicely.
Infernus leaves Harkonnen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Infernus closes the distance and pushes Harkonnen back into the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Infernus misses with a hook to the ribs.

With the fighters up against the cage, Infernus throws an elbow but misses.

That was a close round but I would say that Vladimir Harkonnen will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Infernus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Harkonnen manages to avoid it.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Infernus.

Harkonnen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Infernus swivels and escapes.

Harkonnen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Harkonnen looks to throw the jab but Infernus is out of range.

Infernus wants to control but Harkonnen is keeping busy.
Infernus is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

In his post fight interview, Vladimir Harkonnen started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
