The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira looks to clinch

and Fatu counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Fatu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oliveira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fatu has managed to get both his arms back between Oliveira's legs - danger averted.

Fatu drops back looking for a leg! Oliveira is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oliveira manages to kick Fatu off! Fatu jumps back into Oliveira's guard.

Oliveira has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Fatu is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Oliveira.
