Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominik Caic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dominik Caic!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw shoots in looking for a takedown but Caic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shaw's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Shaw moves into the clinch successfully.
Shaw stalling the fight.
Caic is defending well against a takedown attempt.
A frustrated look appears on Caic's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Shaw prevents Caic from breaking the clinch.
Shaw drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Caic gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Caic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Caic rushes Shaw and presses him up against the cage.

Shaw goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Shaw jumps guard but Caic stands there with Shaw around his waist. Shaw gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Shaw has Caic pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Caic manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Shaw is trying to maintain a safe position but Caic gets an underhook and turns Shaw into the cage.
Caic wants to get back to striking at distance but Shaw won't allow it.

Shaw stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shaw wants it to stay on the feet.
Shaw tries to score a power double leg takedown but Caic sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shaw somewhat.

and Caic counters with a three punch combo that has Shaw backing up. Shaw nods at Caic to acknowledge the strikes.

Shaw tries to clinch up.

Caic decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Caic wants to stand but Shaw has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Caic lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shaw is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Caic jumps into side control!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Caic working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Shaw is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shaw is looking for a triangle but Caic pushes his legs off easily.

Shaw is working an open guard so Caic takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Shaw changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Caic tries to avoid it but Shaw manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Caic to the ground. Caic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Caic shoots in and bounces Shaw off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Caic decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dominik Caic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Dominik Caic is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Caic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
