Perry's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Shadow of the Day. Edson Perry has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Perry misses with an uppercut. Petrovas saw that one coming.

Petrovas scores with a takedown into Perry's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Petrovas postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Petrovas throwing strikes but missing.
Petrovas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Perry has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Petrovas off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Perry comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Perry throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Perry swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Perry misses the jab.
Perry lands a nice shot to the body.
Petrovas looks gassed!
Petrovas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Perry counters with a left and a right that stings Petrovas.
Perry lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Petrovas is rocked!
Perry throws a monster overhand right that drops Petrovas! Perry follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
