Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Texas Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Turd Fergisson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fergisson has chosen Legion of Doom as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pete scores with a three punch combo!
Pete misses with a wild combination.
Pete throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pete fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Fergisson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pete tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fergisson is in Pete's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fergisson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pete has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fergisson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fergisson postures up in Pete's guard and throws a big left but Pete blocks it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fergisson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Pete knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fergisson on the ground.

Turd Fergisson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Pete waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fergisson.
Pete throws a right hand that Fergisson ducks under and follows up with a left that Fergisson also avoids with ease.
Pete misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fergisson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pete tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fergisson was well out of range. Poor timing from Pete.
Fergisson throws a low kick but Pete avoids it.

Pete throws a series of punches but Fergisson avoids them all with ease.
Pete misses with the combination.
Fergisson throws the kick towards the body but Pete avoids it.
Pete fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fergisson on the side of the head.

Fergisson moves away from the strike by Pete.
Texas Pete seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pete lands a nice shot that snaps Fergisson's head back.

Fergisson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pete manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fergisson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fergisson drops back looking for a leg! Pete is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pete manages to kick Fergisson off! Fergisson jumps back into Pete's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fergisson is in close to Pete's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Fergisson throws an elbow that misses. Pete uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fergisson's guard. Nice move by Pete!

Fergisson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Fergisson pushes a forearm under Pete's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Pete is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
