These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Mahaffey gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mahaffey looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Charger postures up and lands a big shot to Mahaffey's brow.
Charger advances position into side control!
Charger lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Mahaffey down.
You can see the frustration on Mahaffey's face as Charger controls the position.
Charger grinds an elbow into Mahaffey's temple.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Charger has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Mahaffey is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Charger yanks on the arm and Mahaffey is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Charger.
