Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gerome Kabasla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davor Velcic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gerome Kabasla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Davor Velcic!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kabasla throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A head kick misses from Kabasla.
Velcic throws a solid leg kick but Kabasla takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Velcic.
Kabasla cracks a nice hook into Velcic's ribs.
Velcic will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Velcic lands a nice looking body shot.
Velcic misses with a wild body shot.
Kabasla uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Velcic.
Velcic connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Velcic jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Some wild striking there from Velcic.
Kabasla misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Velcic.
Kabasla connects with the punch.
Velcic misses with a double jab.

Velcic throws an off balance right hand
and Kabasla counters with a straight right hand.
Velcic lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Velcic avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kabasla slips under a jab from Velcic.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kabasla.
Velcic avoids the head kick by Kabasla.
Sloppy strikes from Kabasla. Those never looked like landing.
Kabasla misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Velcic throws the left hand but Kabasla avoids the punch easily.
Kabasla lands a really nice looking cross but Velcic seems unphased.
Velcic ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kabasla's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Velcic connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kabasla scrambles back to his feet.
Kabasla swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Velcic lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kabasla has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kabasla and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kabasla takes a swing at Velcic's ribcage but misses.
Velcic throws a low kick but Kabasla moves out of range easily.
Velcic misses with a body punch
and Kabasla counters with a nice uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kabasla looks to throw the jab but Velcic is out of range.
Kabasla misses with a jab, cross combination.
Velcic misses with an uppercut.
Velcic connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kabasla's hands.
Kabasla jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Velcic, right into the meat.
Kabasla just misses with a punch to the body.
Davor Velcic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Velcic.
Kabasla swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Velcic takes a swing at Kabasla's ribcage but misses.

Velcic throws a nice inside leg kick.
Velcic tried to score with a low kick but Kabasla checks it.
Velcic slips a jab and a cross from Kabasla.

Kabasla fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Velcic is out of range.
Velcic circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kabasla moves out of range as Velcic strikes.
Velcic cracks Kabasla with a right hand to the side of the head.
Kabasla moves out of range as Velcic strikes.
Kabasla misses with a hook.
Kabasla throws out a leg kick but Velcic moves out of range and Kabasla only half commits.
Velcic scores with a decent looking hook.
Kabasla ducks under a wild hook from Velcic.
Velcic uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kabasla.

Kabasla on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A jab from Velcic misses.
Kabasla takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Kabasla walks forward, straight into a front kick from Velcic.
Velcic lands with a nice body punch.
Good leg kick by Velcic there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Velcic connects with a single shot there.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Velcic takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Velcic attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Kabasla walks into a straight right hand from Velcic.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davor Velcic dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Velcic has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Velcic works over Kabasla's head and body with a nice combination.


Kabasla is rocked!
Kabasla on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Oh Kabasla is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kabasla takes a swing at Velcic's ribcage but misses.
Kabasla throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A left lands for Velcic.
Kabasla wants to clinch.
Kabasla seems to have got his legs back now.
Gerome Kabasla is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Velcic feints and then cracks Kabasla's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kabasla down.
Velcic misses with a series of wild punches.
A slapping leg kick lands for Velcic.
Velcic misses with a body shot.

Velcic throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kabasla.
Velcic displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kabasla throws out the jab.
Velcic getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Kabasla looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A combination from Velcic does no damage.
Kabasla scores with a jab. Velcic acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Velcic closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Kabasla is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Kabasla closes the distance and clinches.
Kabasla tries to land knees in the clinch but Velcic avoids the damage to the body.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Velcic.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kabasla tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Kabasla has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Velcic lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kabasla backwards.
Velcic tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Velcic lands with a short shot to the head.
Velcic with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

A knee to the head by Kabasla.
Kabasla is trying to pull guard but Velcic has him pressed against the cage.
Velcic struggles to land a body shot inside as Kabasla controls his hands.
Velcic tries to throw a body punch but Kabasla avoids it by throwing Velcic back against the cage.
Kabasla misses with a knee strike.

Velcic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kabasla tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Velcic manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A punch lands to the side of Kabasla 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Velcic throws a head kick but Kabasla moves out of range.
Velcic thows a body shot but no joy.
A solid leg kick lands there for Velcic.
Velcic swings widly with a right hand
and Kabasla counters with a left and a right that stings Velcic.
Kabasla is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kabasla misses with an uppercut
and Velcic counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Velcic tests Kabasla's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A clash of legs there as Velcic blocks the low kick.
Nice jab there from Velcic.
Kabasla takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Velcic keeps the fight on the outside.
Kabasla tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Velcic connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kabasla. Kabasla circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kabasla looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
The crowd cheers as Velcic lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kabasla doesn't seem phased though.
Velcic connects with a combination that backs up Kabasla into the cage. Velcic lands a flurry of punches that gets past Kabasla's guard. Kabasla is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Velcic bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Davor Velcic!
After winning the bout, Davor Velcic thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
