Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jay Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Purpura Mortis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sagat comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Mosh. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Sagat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Purpura Mortis!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagat moves to clinch but Mortis breaks away
and Mortis counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Jay Sagat has been cut.
Mortis getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Mortis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sagat tries to clinch but Mortis moves out of range.
Sagat moves in looking to clinch but Mortis pushes him off.
Mortis lands a nice shot to the body.
Sagat fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mortis motions for Sagat to come forward. Mortis throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Mortis lands a really nice looking cross but Sagat seems unphased.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mortis misses with a few strikes there.
Nice defenses there by Mortis.
Sagat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mortis throws an overhand right that lands on Sagat's shoulder, as Sagat tries to avoid the shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sagat moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Mortis lands with a nice body punch.
Mortis displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Sagat tries to clinch up but Mortis circles away and keeps his distance.
Mortis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sagat circles away quickly and effectively.
Mortis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sagat moves away.
Mortis lands with a nice body punch.
Sagat tries to clinch but Mortis moves out of range.
Mortis throws a one two combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sagat takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mortis looks to land a left hand but Sagat moved out of range nicely.
Mortis keeps the fight on the outside.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mortis throws a right and a left that Sagat avoids nicely.
Sagat is looking to clinch but Mortis is avoiding it.
Sagat takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sagat throws a series of punches but Mortis avoids them all with ease.
Sagat tries to clinch but Mortis moves away
and Mortis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mortis stalks Sagat and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sagat's face. Sagat staggers backwards, shaken.
Sagat takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mortis digs a good hook to Sagat's body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sagat looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sagat tries to clinch
and Mortis counters with a body kick that stops Sagat in his tracks momentarily.
Sagat tries to clinch but Mortis moves away
and Mortis counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Sagat is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mortis drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Sagat onto his butt! Sagat pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Good leg kick by Mortis there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Mortis lands with a straight right. Sagat didn't see that one coming.
Mortis feints a jab promting Sagat to slip. Mortis then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sagat slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Sagat is rocked!
Mortis staggers Sagat with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Sagat looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! No! He's back down again! 9...10 - he's can't beat the count and Mortis is victorious!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Purpura Mortis!
Purpura Mortis decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
