Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maverick Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Little Secrets - Passion Pit as his entrance music. Sean Price has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maverick Jones!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones rushes Price and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Price tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jones smiles and moves away.
Price swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Price lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Maverick Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jones content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Price gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Jones wants to take a breather but Price is having none of it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jones wants to pass to mount but Price is defending the position.

Price is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jones's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jones's back!

You can see the frustration on Jones's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Jones manages to reverse the position and now he's in Price's guard. Nice work there by Jones.

Price has an active guard here but Jones has managed to pass into half guard.
Price tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Price won't allow Jones to pass to mount.

Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Price trying to control from the bottom.
Price is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Price has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.

Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Price has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Price's legs - danger averted.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones passes Price's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Price does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sean Price will probably get the nod.
That's time! Price's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Jones is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Price can't fight it off and eventually Jones manages to take the fight to the floor. Price looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Price is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.
Jones is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Price is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jones postures up in Price's guard and throws a big left but Price blocks it.
Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Price will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jones passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Price knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Price is looking for a sweep.

Jones tries for a kimura but Price is defending well.

Jones controls the position from side control.
Jones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Price wants to control but Jones postures up.
Price is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Maverick Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Jones takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Maverick Jones seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Jones tries to land a knee to the head but Price blocks with his arms.

Price is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jones is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Price to the mat. Price regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Price is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones wants to take a breather but Price is having none of it.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Jones takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Price swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Price circles away.

Price throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Price drops Jones with a huge uppercut! Jones drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Price is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
