Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Asmir Zslevski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Asmir Zslevski has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asmir Zslevski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Zslevski is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gracie advances position into side control!

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gracie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Zslevski is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gracie tries for a kimura but Zslevski is defending well.
Gracie tries to advance to mount but Zslevski denies him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zslevski gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Zslevski is trying to get back to full guard.

Zslevski is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zslevski is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.

Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Zslevski trying to hold on to Gracie's head to control him but Gracie postures up.
The fighters are battling for position here. Zslevski manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Zslevski has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.

Zslevski is looking for a triangle but Gracie pushes his legs off easily.
Zslevski is trying to keep Gracie in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zslevski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zslevski manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Zslevski in his guard.

Zslevski is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gracie is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gracie has escaped and now he's on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie passes Zslevski's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Zslevski looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Gracie missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gracie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Zslevski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gracie.
Gracie has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Royce Gracie dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Zslevski wants to clinch.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zslevski fails with an attempt to clinch.

Zslevski tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Asmir Zslevski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zslevski tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Zslevski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gracie passes Zslevski's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Gracie is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Zslevski is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Royce Gracie!
