The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Talalelei is looking to clinch but Nishiura is avoiding it.

Nishiura dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Talalelei. That did some damage!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nishiura, as that shot connected.

Talalelei doesn't manage to clinch there - Nishiura circles away.

Akiyo Nishiura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Talalelei thows a body shot but no joy.
Nishiura is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Talalelei had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Nishiura breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Nishiura cracks Talalelei with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Talalelei throws a body punch but Nishiura moves out of range.
Nishiura uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Talalelei.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Nishiura! Talalelei is out on his feet! Nishiura rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Talalelei is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Talalelei is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
