The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikolaev throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tillman tries for a takedown but Nikolaev circles away easily

and Nikolaev moves into the clinch.

Nikolaev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tillman slips a jab and a cross from Nikolaev.
Tillman misses with the combination.
Tillman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tillman shoots in but no luck this time.
Tillman shoots in looking for a takedown. Nikolaev tries to sprawl out of it but Tillman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Nikolaev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerraud Tillman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Nikolaev shoots in, scooping Tillman off his feet. Nikolaev is holding his opponent over his shoulder. He slams Tillman to the mat and Tillman is in big trouble! Nikolaev is landing strikes to his unconscious foe and the ref dives in to end the fight! Nikolaev is celebrating with his corner and rightfully so.
