PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Snoofty Douser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Talon Bashor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Snoofty Douser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bashor swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Douser makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bashor misses with a combination
and Bashor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Douser throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bashor's waist but Bashor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Douser off to one side.
Bashor throws a nice looking combination but Douser bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nice straight punches there by Bashor. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bashor.

It looks like Snoofty Douser has been cut.

Douser tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bashor sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Douser somewhat.

Bashor connects with a good right hand that stumbles Douser. Douser circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Douser goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Douser shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bashor as he avoids it easily.

Bashor lands a left and a right that sends Douser crashing to the canvas! Bashor dives into mount looking to finish!
Douser is breathing heavily.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Douser has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Bashor's lack of action.

Bashor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Douser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Douser is trying to stand up here but Bashor is controlling him well.

Bashor leaves Douser with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Douser gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Douser shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bashor but Bashor pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bashor throws a series of punches but Douser moves out of range.
Douser misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Douser. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

The fight stays on the outside here - Douser looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bashor lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bashor stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Douser will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bashor throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Douser shoots in for a takedown but Bashor shows good takedown defense.
Douser on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Douser is rocked!
Talon Bashor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bashor misses with a series of wild punches.
Oh Douser is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bashor throws a right hand that Douser ducks under and follows up with a left that Douser also avoids with ease.
Douser seems to have got his legs back now.
Douser moves out of range of the strikes.
Bashor lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bashor.
Douser shoots for a takedown but Bashor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bashor tries to bum rush Douser with a series of wild strikes but Douser uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Douser shoots in looking for a takedown. Bashor tries to sprawl out of it but Douser keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bashor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bashor misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bashor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bashor works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Douser takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bashor gets in close and tags Douser with a short punch that almost sends Douser to the mat! Oh Douser is in big trouble! He turns his back on Bashor, trying to create some distance but Bashor rushes him, striking wildly and Douser goes down! The referee tackles Bashor into the cage to end the fight! Bashor is one violent man!

After winning the bout, Talon Bashor thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
