Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey McFinnegan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laz Icarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Icarus is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Flying dutchman. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Icarus.
A solid leg kick lands there for Icarus.
McFinnegan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Icarus as he avoids it easily.
McFinnegan steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Icarus. That one must have hurt.
A swing and a miss from McFinnegan.
Icarus throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
McFinnegan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Icarus scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Icarus dodges the punch combination from McFinnegan.
McFinnegan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Icarus pushes McFinnegan up against the cage in a clinch.
McFinnegan takes an elbow to the forehead.

It looks like Mickey McFinnegan has been cut.
McFinnegan is trying to pull guard but Icarus has him pressed against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McFinnegan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Icarus gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mickey McFinnegan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Icarus misses with a knee to the head.

Icarus tries to land a knee to the head but McFinnegan blocks with his arms.
Icarus gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Icarus landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

McFinnegan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Icarus to keep the fight standing.

Icarus drops McFinnegan with a big knee straight up the middle! McFinnegan is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

McFinnegan is rocked!

McFinnegan is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McFinnegan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Icarus's waist but Icarus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McFinnegan off to one side.
Oh McFinnegan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Icarus lands a nice leg kick that just misses McFinnegan's sensitive parts.
McFinnegan throws a hook but Icarus blocks it.
McFinnegan seems to have got his legs back now.
Laz Icarus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Icarus connects with a high kick.

Mickey McFinnegan's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
McFinnegan on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That kick from Icarus tenderised McFinnegan's leg. McFinnegan is trying to keep his angry face on.
Icarus fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McFinnegan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Icarus.
Icarus feints and then cracks McFinnegan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McFinnegan down.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Icarus lands a nice looking body kick.
Icarus lands with a kick to the temple. McFinnegan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

McFinnegan gets tackled into the cage by Icarus. Icarus maintains the clinch.
McFinnegan is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Icarus dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Icarus putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has McFinnegan in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Icarus lands a damaging elbow.

Jeez, Mickey McFinnegan's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
