The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie swings widly with a right hand
and Takara counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gracie scores with a hook to the body. Takara takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Takara throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.
Gracie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie showed some decent athleticism there.
Takara is pressing down on Gracie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Takara not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gracie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie wants to pass to mount but Takara is defending the position.

Gracie is keen to just control but Takara is a slippery customer.
Gracie stops Takara from getting back to his feet.

Gracie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Takara!
The referee warns Takara that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Gracie pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Takara is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Gracie lands a big shot there that rocks Takara but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Gracie lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Takara tries to reverse the position but Gracie maintains control.
Takara tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gracie scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Takara?

Takara is rocked!
Takara keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Takara is still in real trouble! Can Gracie finish him?

Oooooh, big shot lands for Gracie! Takara is hurt baaadly! Gracie is firing away with more strikes - Takara is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
