Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Justin Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and QL Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Case has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Justin Case had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Justin Case!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, QL Hicks!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Case gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Case keeping moving, preventing Hicks from controlling successfully.
Hicks throwing strikes but missing.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hicks's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Case throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Hicks is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Case shoots in for a takedown but Hicks shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

QL Hicks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

OK we're going to have a standup here. QL Hicks hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Case tries to clinch but Hicks moves out of range.
Hicks has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

QL Hicks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hicks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

QL Hicks was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
