The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Petruzelli looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McGee keeps the fight on the outside.
Anthony Petruzelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Petruzelli tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McGee paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McGee shoots in and drives through. Petruzelli sprawls well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

That was a close round but I would say that Anthony Petruzelli will probably get the nod.

Petruzelli wants to clinch.
Petruzelli throws a head kick but McGee moves out of range.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Petruzelli is wriggling around trying to escape.
McGee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Petruzelli is looking to escape.
McGee has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Petruzelli's face.

McGee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Petruzelli fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McGee.

McGee controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Petruzelli has his foot on McGee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McGee works his way back into a safe position though.

Petruzelli had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. McGee is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Petruzelli Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take McGee's back instead.

Despite being in the dominant position, Josh McGee just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Petruzelli has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McGee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Petruzelli shoots in for a takedown but McGee shows good takedown defense.
