PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Koufax Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sun Quan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quan has chosen MC Hammer- U Can't Touch This as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Koufax Pierce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Sun Quan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Quan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Pierce with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Quan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pierce circles away quickly and effectively.
Pierce lunges at Quan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Quan's hand.

It looks like Sun Quan has been cut.
Sun Quan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pierce ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Pierce punishes Quan's body with a nice straight punch.
Quan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pierce has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pierce drives through and clinches with Quan against the cage.

Quan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pierce misses with a few strikes there.
Pierce scores with a body shot.
Pierce checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Quan gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pierce.
Pierce thows a body shot but no joy.
Quan checks the leg kick nicely there.
Quan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
