The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy scores with a one two! Gi had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Murphy throws a nice looking combination but Gi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Murphy falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gi makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Good shot there by Murphy.
Gi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Murphy rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Gi counters with a head kick that drops Murphy to the mat! Murphy scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A looping hook to the body misses from Murphy. Gi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Murphy swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Gi counters with a solid body kick.
Murphy throws out a powerful jab.
Gi tries a head kick but it misses.
Gi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Gi! Murphy is out on his feet! Gi rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Murphy is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Murphy is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
