The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerns wants to clinch up but Pollock keeps it at a distance.

Kerns comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kerns tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pollock manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kerns looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kerns fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pollock has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kerns tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pollock paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kerns shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kerns has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Pollock doesn't defend quickly enough and Kerns has managed to lock this one up! Can Pollock escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kerns on a fantastic submission victory.

Jack Kerns decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
