The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laurentian turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Cane shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Laurentian napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Cane advances to full mount.
Cane looking to finish Laurentian with some ground and pound. This is bad for Laurentian!
Laurentian is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Laurentian is trying to escape the mount.
Cane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Laurentian avoids a series of strikes thrown by Cane.

Cane looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Cane has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Laurentian's face.

Laurentian is rocked!
Cane loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Laurentian scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Cane land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Cane stands and salutes the crowd.
