Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shawn Spencer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dave Dameshek!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer misses with a two punch combination.
Dameshek closes this distance looking for a takedown but Spencer circles away.
Spencer throws an overhand right that lands on Dameshek's shoulder, as Dameshek tries to avoid the shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dameshek is defended easily by Spencer.
Spencer throws the left hand but Dameshek avoids the punch easily.
Dameshek shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Spencer pinned against the cage. Spencer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Shawn Spencer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Dameshek.
Dameshek throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spencer's waist but Spencer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dameshek off to one side.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dameshek misses with a takedown attempt - Spencer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Spencer cracks Dameshek with a right hand to the side of the head.
Dameshek on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Dameshek shoots for a takedown but Spencer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dameshek doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Spencer counter with a right hand.

Dameshek slips a jab and a cross from Spencer.
Dameshek is still on wobbly legs! Can Spencer finish him?
Spencer throws a hook but Dameshek avoids it easily.
Spencer throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Dameshek counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Dameshek seems to have recovered his senses.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Spencer wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spencer is looking for a sweep. Dameshek is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Spencer manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Dameshek trying to control but Spencer is working from the bottom.

Spencer wriggles free and stands up.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Spencer with a nice cross.
Spencer misses with a body shot.
Spencer misses with a looping left.
Spencer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Spencer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dameshek.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dameshek fails with the takedown.
Dameshek shoots in for a takedown but Spencer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Spencer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dameshek tries to clinch up but Spencer circles away and keeps his distance.
Dameshek shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Spencer lands a nice shot that snaps Dameshek's head back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spencer throws a nice looking combination but Dameshek bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Spencer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dameshek. Dameshek circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Spencer lands a right hook to the body.
Spencer misses with a looping left.
Dameshek will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dameshek ducks under a wild hook from Spencer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spencer fails to land with a series of punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spencer connects with a right that clearly hurt Dameshek. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Spencer proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Dameshek collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shawn Spencer!
An out of breath Shawn Spencer thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
