Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Saar Kouko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Saar Kouko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tomasz Materla!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Materla slips a jab and a cross from Kouko.

Materla gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Kouko lands with a short shot to the head.
Kouko tries to score a body lock takedown but Materla shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kouko tries to close the distance and clinch but Materla swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kouko cracks Materla with a right hand to the side of the head.
Kouko fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Materla takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kouko lands a nice hook to Materla's body. Materla takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Kouko scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Materla shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kouko's guard.
Materla is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Materla drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kouko manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Materla has Kouko in his guard.

Materla had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kouko defends it easily.
Kouko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Materla on the ground.

Kouko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Materla swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Materla working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kouko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kouko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Materla changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kouko fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kouko lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Kouko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

I would just about give that final round to Tomasz Materla.
