Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Justin Roza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Riori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Roza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angel Riori!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riori slips a jab and a cross from Roza.

Roza closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Riori tries to roll over but Roza keeps him under control.

Riori is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Roza pulls his head out easily.
Riori is pressing down on Roza's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Riori working for submissions but it's allowed Roza to get to half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Riori slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Riori has his foot on Roza's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Roza works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Roza seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Riori does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Roza is stalling here. Riori is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Roza seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Riori has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Roza manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Riori on his heels. He'll look to pass Riori's guard now, I'm sure.

The ground and pound from Riori seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

A close second round but Angel Riori will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Riori stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roza swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Justin Roza just wasn't active enough.
Roza shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Riori defends it nicely.
Riori takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Roza rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Riori moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Riori is just content to waste time from the top position. Roza takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Riori takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Riori is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Roza can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Riori is looking to work his way around to Roza's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Roza is desperately trying to improve his position but Riori has a good base and remains in mount.
Justin Roza has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I've got Riori winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
