Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dan Skinner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bariga Gerich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gerich has chosen Мой тренер as his entrance music. Bariga Gerich will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Skinner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerich lands with a kick to the temple. Skinner shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Bariga Gerich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Skinner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gerich feints a jab promting Skinner to slip. Gerich then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Skinner slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Gerich feints and then cracks Skinner's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Skinner down.
Skinner has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Skinner there as he acknowledges the shot.

Skinner throws a nice looking combination but Gerich bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Skinner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gerich moves away.
Gerich stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gerich wants it to stay on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Skinner is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gerich to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gerich shrugs it off.

Skinner is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gerich is not content to let Skinner control the position.

Skinner is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Gerich really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Skinner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Skinner is looking for a kimura but Gerich is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Skinner to get the leverage.
Skinner seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gerich does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Skinner is taking a breather. Gerich says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Skinner seems to be looking for submissions.

Bariga Gerich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
