Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nicholas Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fredson Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castle comes to the ring accompanied by Why can`t we be friend - Smash Mouth. Reis has chosen Blood Red Sandman - Lordi as his entrance music. Fredson Reis has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Nicholas Castle's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Reis fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Castle checks it well.
Reis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Reis stuffs the takedown attempt from Castle. Castle gets slowly back to his feet.
Reis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Castle avoids a punch combination nicely.
Reis tries to bum rush Castle with a series of wild strikes but Castle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Oooh a lovely combination from Reis sends Castle down but not out. Reis dives into side control looking to finish.


Castle is rocked!


It looks like Nicholas Castle has been cut.
Castle wants to control but Reis postures up.
Oh Castle is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reis creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Reis tries to move to full mount but Castle actually manages to regain half guard.
Reis prevents Castle from standing back up.
Castle slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Castle seems to have got his legs back now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Reis.
Reis lands an overhand right.
Reis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Castle looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reis looks to land a combination. Castle sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Castle lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Reis is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Castle is controlling him well.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Castle is looking to take a break and control but Reis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reis pushes Castle away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Castle gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Reis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Castle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Reis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Castle's head.

Castle uses his free foot to push down on Reis's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Reis.

Reis tries to reverse the position but Castle maintains control.
Castle wants to control the pace but Reis is squirming around nicely.
Reis tries to buck Castle off but he can't manage it.
Nicholas Castle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Castle gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Reis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Castle backs up against the ropes.
Castle closes the distance and clinches up with Reis, looking for a takedown. Castle pushes Reis against the ropes but Reis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that Nicholas Castle will probably get the nod.

Reis throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Castle colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Reis as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Castle is left battered and dazed whilst Reis and his camp cheer!
