Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiny SparBJJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Desmond Miles will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tiny SparBJJ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond Miles!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miles checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Miles ducks down and throws a hook to the body but SparBJJ moves away.

Miles shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Miles wants to take a breather but SparBJJ is having none of it.

SparBJJ is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Miles has SparBJJ pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. SparBJJ manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Miles drops down looking for an ankle pick but SparBJJ pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Miles counters with a left and a right that stings SparBJJ.

and Miles counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Miles fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and SparBJJ has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

SparBJJ has closed the distance and engaged Miles in a clinch.

SparBJJ manages to break the clinch.
SparBJJ tries to land a front kick but Miles steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miles content to control rather than advance.
Miles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with SparBJJ. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Miles lands a nice short elbow.

SparBJJ tries to work over Miles's front leg with a kick but Miles checks it.
Miles lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

SparBJJ moves out of range as Miles strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miles looks to land a combination but SparBJJ avoids it well.

Miles changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. SparBJJ looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
SparBJJ is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Miles is controlling him well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Miles creates some space and throws a big elbow, but SparBJJ sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

SparBJJ regains half guard there - taking advantage of Miles's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Miles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but SparBJJ does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

SparBJJ kicks off Miles and gets to his feet.
SparBJJ throws a low kick, looking for Miles's leg but Miles calmly moves out of range.
Miles throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around SparBJJ's waist but SparBJJ gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Miles off to one side.

SparBJJ does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tiny SparBJJ has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Desmond Miles.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

SparBJJ has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Miles looks to score with a jab to the body but SparBJJ is just out of range.

Miles throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent SparBJJ stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

I've got Miles winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Desmond Miles was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
