The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanayama jabs Fairtex right on the nose. Fairtex blinks but takes it well.
Hanayama misses with a low kick.
Fairtex stuffs the takedown attempt from Hanayama. Hanayama gets slowly back to his feet.
Hanayama throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hanayama lands a leg kick that knocks Fairtex off balance momentarily.

Hanayama changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fairtex tries to avoid it but Hanayama manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fairtex to the ground. Fairtex escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hanayama fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fairtex.
