Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montain fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nice takedown defense from Zdorovenniy. No joy for Montain on that attempt.
Montain throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zdorovenniy was covering up waiting for the punch and Montain finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Montain slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Montain throws a big elbow that misses.

Montain has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Montain is pushing down on Zdorovenniy's leg trying to pass to half guard. Zdorovenniy is fighting to maintain full guard but Montain has managed to sneak the leg through.
Montain is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zdorovenniy is just riding it out for now. Montain eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Montain connects with a nice short shot to Zdorovenniy's temple.
Montain in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Zdorovenniy tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Montain!
