Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kris Crunkel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crunkel comes into the arena with Am I Evil blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Reis's choice of entrance music: Choke - Hybrid (feat. John Graham). Thiago Reis will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunkel looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Reis dodges the punch combination from Crunkel.

Crunkel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Reis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Reis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Reis is trying to get back to full guard.
Reis is pressing down on Crunkel's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Reis pulls Crunkel in to control the position.
Reis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Reis passes to side control.

Reis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Crunkel sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Crunkel is pressing down on Reis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Reis stands up over Crunkel, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Reis won't allow Crunkel to sweep him here.

Reis chips away with some ground and pound.

Crunkel isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Reis stacks Crunkel on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Reis!
Reis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Crunkel is breathing heavily.
Reis in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Crunkel sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Reis uses his free foot to push down on Crunkel's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Crunkel.

Reis has control of Crunkel's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Crunkel regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Reis wants to control the pace but Crunkel is squirming around nicely.

Crunkel is in a horrible position here. Reis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Reis with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Reis prevents Crunkel from getting the reversal.
Reis throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Reis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Reis is landing with some decent strikes but Crunkel is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Reis is working for a guillotine from mount but Crunkel frees his head quite easily.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
