Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mei Dabest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marshal Van Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mei Dabest could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marshal Van Black's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marshal Van Black!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Van Black drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Dabest is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Van Black looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Dabest could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Van Black thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dabest's head.
Dabest makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dabest.
Van Black wants to stand but Dabest is controlling his posture from full guard.
Van Black must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Dabest escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Van Black gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dabest has momentary wrist control but Van Black slips an elbow through the middle.
Van Black is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Dabest is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Dabest is breathing heavily.
Van Black trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Van Black wants to get up but he can't break Dabest's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Van Black is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Dabest manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Dabest is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Dabest gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Dabest gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Dabest apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Van Black lands with a nice combination. Dabest backs away looking to recover.

Van Black closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Van Black lands in his opponent's guard.

Dabest is looking to sinch up a triangle. Van Black throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Dabest's body to avoid the submission. Dabest has instead reached around Van Black's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Dabest arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
