Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Old English (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waters's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Devour-Shinedown. Old English has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyson Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Old English!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters doesn't manage to clinch there - English circles away.
English keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Waters tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but English swivels and escapes.
English shoots for a double leg takedown but Waters sprawls well. He's pushed English's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Waters throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around English's waist but English gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Waters off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Waters. That's going to take a lot out of him.

English closes the distance and pushes Waters back into the cage.
Waters is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. English is defending well for now.
Waters has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Waters tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

English goes for a takedown attempt but Waters pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
No joy there for English, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tyson Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
English tries to free his leg and advance position but Waters is retaining full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Old English hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
English being controlled against the cage.
English on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Waters is fighting off a takedown attempt but English is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Waters to the mat. Waters regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Waters seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
English wants to control from the top but Waters keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Old English wasn't active enough on the ground.
English displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Waters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


English misses with a head kick.

English darts in and clinches Waters up against the cage.
English can't break the clinch.
Waters trying to land knees to the body.

English blocks a body shot from Waters.

Waters turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Waters manages to end up in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
English managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Waters.
Waters working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on English's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
English is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Waters has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Waters is looking to take a break and control but English is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A punch lands to the side of Waters 's head but he takes it in his stride.

English shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Waters pinned against the cage. Waters gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tyson Waters will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Old English.
Waters takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

English shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
English stalling.
Waters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Waters is in trouble now - English has advanced to mount!

English tries to control but Waters wriggling away.
Waters is desperately trying to improve his position but English has a good base and remains in mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
English landing strikes, looking to finish!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
English looking to control but Waters is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Waters on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Waters tries to get out of the position.
Poor strikes thrown by English there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
English trying to control but Waters is having none of it.
Waters is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Old English comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think English has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
